About the Presenter:
Craig Gipe is a Risk Control Consultant for the Kentucky Associated General Contractors Self Insurer’s Fund. Mr. Gipe is a Kentucky native who grew up in Owensboro, Kentucky. He attended UK and Murray State University and graduated from MSU with a BS in Occupational Safety and Health in 1996. He started his career in safety on heavy industrial construction projects and plant shutdowns. In 2002 Mr. Gipe, started SafetyCraig Consulting in Lexington, Kentucky. He was one of only a few consultants in the state who holds the CSP and CHST certifications. For 20 years SafetyCraig Consulting provided safety training and education services, jobsite audits, and safety management services to hundreds of very small and very large industrial and commercial contractors in Kentucky and in the mid and eastern states. He loves helping people and takes pride in having a positive coaching leadership approach when in the classroom teaching or on the jobsite. He currently lives in Nicholasville, Kentucky with his wife, Fairreia, and their three daughters. Outside of spending time with family, he enjoys running, boating, bass fishing, and is a car enthusiast.
Although the bulk of his clients were very small local contractors, he has also worked with larger companies such as Bechtel Parsons, LG&E-KU, Turner Construction, Messer Construction,Whiting Turner, US Army Corps of Engineers, McGriff Insurance, Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation, and Kalkreuth Roofing and Sheetmetal.
